BIM Manager in Ames, Iowa

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead and manage all functions of the BIM/VDC team including scheduling, detailing assignments, and QA/QC oversight.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of BIM software and technologies across the organization.
  • Manage BIM 360 platforms and ensure standardization and compliance with internal processes.
  • Collaborate closely with project management, field leadership, and prefabrication teams to support project coordination and execution.
  • Provide internal training and support to enhance BIM adoption and efficiency.
  • Attend job sites and fabrication facilities to review install drawings, models, and prefabrication opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events to stay current on emerging trends and transfer knowledge internally.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in BIM/VDC within the construction industry.
  • Experience leading a multidisciplinary VDC team is highly preferred
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit, NavisWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Deep understanding of construction workflows, coordination, and prefabrication strategies.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously with attention to detail.
